Description

Released for arcades by Sun Electronics in May 1982, Kangaroo is an action game that depicts the struggles of a mother kangaroo attempting to rescue her kidnapped child. Players control the mother, who wears boxing gloves, and must use punches, jumps, and adept footwork to break through a legion of monkeys blocking her path. Consisting of four stages, the objective of the game is to defeat the boss, "Tsukki Kong," waiting deep within each level and reach the goal. With a simple control scheme featuring an eight-way joystick and a button, this game is a quintessential fixed-screen action title from the 1980s that captures both the love and tenacity of a mother.
