Description

Released in October 1984, Bank Panic is a gun-shooting game where players take on the role of a Wild West sheriff tasked with fending off bank robbers. As you move left and right, you must instantly determine whether the figure appearing behind an opening door is a robber or a depositor, then use the corresponding button to either shoot or hold your fire. With its simple yet clear rules, the game’s tense gameplay—which requires careful handling of stray shots and bombs—made it a hit in the arcades of its time. While published by SEGA, the game was developed by Sanritsu. Please note that there have been reports of discrepancies in display colors when compared to the original version from that era.

Story

The game is set in a bank during the Wild West era, where you take on the role of a sheriff tasked with guarding the bank's windows. You must quickly identify the bank robbers who appear one after another and take them down with your gun. You must also be careful not to accidentally shoot the customers who occasionally appear instead of robbers. Your goal is to defeat the robbers at all the windows and collect the cash.
