Last Mission (US revision 6)

Released by Data East in October 1986, *Last Mission* is a sci-fi shooting game featuring 360-degree omnidirectional scrolling. Players take on the role of a pilot exiled from their home planet for a crime they did not commit. Controlling the "Main Fighter," you must defeat an invading army to clear your name and earn your way back home. The game is played using an 8-way joystick and two buttons, requiring players to utilize their radar to locate and destroy all mid-sized bases on the map before advancing to boss encounters.
