Ninja Emaki

Released by Nichibutsu in October 1986, this title is a Japanese-style fantasy action-shooting game set in the late Sengoku period. To rescue Princess Shizue, who has been kidnapped by the resurrected evil spirit Tamazusa, a young ninja named Shinbei from the Hikaru clan ventures alone into the heart of the enemy's stronghold. During gameplay, you can enjoy flashy and exhilarating combat by making full use of rapid-fire shots and an array of eight different ninja arts. Featuring a loop-based structure, this game remains a notable entry in the historical ninja genre that electrified the arcade scene of its time.

As the world is shrouded in darkness by an army of evil spirits, a young hero named Shinbei rises to rescue the kidnapped princess. Shinbei heads toward the enemy stronghold, where countless yokai and ninjas lie in wait, to challenge them to battle. Utilizing scrolls acquired along the way, he throws himself into the fight against the evil spirit army, making full use of a diverse array of ninpo.
