Description

Released by Toaplan in 1987, *Twin Cobra* (known in Japan as *Kyukyoku Tiger*) is a vertically scrolling shooter that serves as the third entry in the company’s popular series, following *Tiger-Heli* and *Flying Shark*. While the player’s helicopter moves at a modest pace, the 10-stage power-up system allows for overwhelming firepower that can dominate the entire screen, marking it as one of the most offensively capable craft in the series. The game’s distinctive bomb requires strategic foresight, as there is a slight time lag between the button press and the weapon’s impact. Each stage is populated by fierce enemies that unleash intense barrages of bullets; the segments featuring multiple bosses with unique characteristics are particular highlights that truly put the player's skills to the test.

Story

The player controls the state-of-the-art attack helicopter "Battle Tiger" and sorties to halt an invading enemy force. The overall story is extremely simple: the objective is to penetrate deep into the heart of the enemy and crush their ambitions. Maneuvering your craft across the front lines, you will engage in fierce combat against formidable enemy forces, including tanks, fighter aircraft, and massive fortresses.
