Dangar - Ufo Robo (12-1-1986)

Released by Nichibutsu in October 1986, UFO Robo Dangar is a fixed-screen shooting game that carries on the lineage of the classic title Terra Cresta. The game features a power-up system that allows players to recover ally ships to transform and combine from a flight mode into a robot, as well as the series' signature formation attacks. At the same time, the enemies' more complex and tricky movement patterns elevate the difficulty, which provided a significant challenge for players at the time. Notably, the game was known as "Dangle" during development, and its distinctive title was composed to evoke the popular robot anime of that era.
