Black Tiger

Released by Capcom in 1987, this action game is set in a dying kingdom and depicts the struggle of a hero who rises to defeat three evil dragons. Wielding a mace and daggers, the protagonist earns “Zenny” through exploration, a currency used to upgrade equipment, which incorporates RPG elements into the gameplay. Furthermore, hidden high-scoring secrets serve to stimulate the player’s sense of curiosity. It should be noted that, due to original arcade specifications, the demo sound settings were linked to the playback of credit sounds.

A long time ago, a kingdom was cast into darkness by three dragons that appeared from the sky amidst bolts of lightning. After a long age of darkness, a hero named Black Tiger was born into this dying kingdom. To restore the kingdom to its former glory, the hero embarks on a journey to vanquish the evil dragons.
