Dead Angle

Released in July 1989 by Seibu Kaihatsu and Tecmo, Dead Angle is a hard-boiled gun action game set in the 1931 criminal underworld, where special agent George Phoenix battles the mafia to rescue his kidnapped girlfriend. While the game is defined by its immersive, gun-wielding gameplay, it has been noted that technical constraints of the era and the arcade hardware of the time result in several graphic errors occurring in the Chicago stage, just before the finale. In 1931, Robert King, who reigned as emperor of the underworld, was once sent to prison by special agent George Phoenix. However, after King posted bail and disappeared, he kidnapped George's girlfriend, Jane, while she was on vacation. To rescue her, George takes up his gun and throws himself into the fight against the mafia.
